Barack Obama si schiera contro il Primo Emendamento

 I partigiani L'eredità più consistente lasciata agli Italiani dal regime fascista e dalla RSI nello spirare a Dongo, è stata l'ANPI: una holding che consta di 1500 sezioni distribuite su tutto il territorio nazionale, di 17 coordinamenti regionali, di 107 comitati provinciali e di 7 sedi all'estero. Ovviamente -  eccezion fatta per gli iscritti, molti dei quali vengono reclutati tra coloro che si sono limitati a studiare la Storia sul sussidiario e che cadono puntualmente in deliquio non appena sentono profferire certe parole magiche come 'libertà', 'uguaglianza' e 'democrazia' - chi paga é lo Stato, cioé noi, sulla falsariga del canone televisivo che viene addebitato a coloro che non hanno un televisore o – avendolo -   si concedono il lodevole lusso di tenerlo spento.

A  Hiroo Onoda, il soldato giapponese che si era barricato nella giungla per quasi trent'anni perché non sapeva che la guerra era finita, l'ANPI fa un baffo rintorcinato, ma ci sono delle differenze cruciali. Lì c'é la tragedia, intessuta di valori importanti, come onore e patria. Qui, ricorre, come in molti altri aspetti della vita nazionale agghindati sotto forma di farsa, l'ombra furtiva del pataccaro che ti si avvicina sul tratto Roma – Napoli, nel parcheggio dell'autogrill, per rifilarti un rolex d'oro, un'occasione per pochi danari, iamme, 'mpress 'mpress.

Di partigiani – tenuto conto del fatto che i più giovani di allora avranno avuto  diciotto anni - ne saranno rimasti vivi non più di due o tre. Per loro, come per tutti quelli che hanno combattuto per qualcosa contro qualcuno, con le armi in pugno, c'é purtroppo l'onta del pannolone, e del compleanno in cui si é costretti a ridere e a soffiare sulle candeline,  senza averne più voglia.

 Sempre che si sia combattuto. Non é affatto scontato. Nella primavera del '45 spuntarono più partigiani che papaveri. Qualcuno aveva trascorso intere settimane sulle montagne, nel tallonare gli aerei angloamericani che sganciavano pacchetti di  sigarette:  le bombe, invece, erano per gli italiani che erano a casa, gente comune che lavorava, come nella canzone di Celentano.

 Qualcun altro scoprì di sentirsi partigiano, nell'aprire gli occhi in una di quelle mattine. Il vortice degli eventi, scanditi dagli spari e dal sangue, favoriva i rivolgimenti radicali e le conversioni improvvise. Contrariamente a  quanto succedeva nel resto dell'Europa, era finita una guerra e ne cominciava un'altra, in sordina, senza che nessuno l'avesse dichiarata, come cinque anni prima, convocando gli ambasciatori. Ciascuno di coloro che vi presero parte aveva un proprio piano di battaglia, un target personale: il cognato, indisponente, che partecipava sempre ai raduni  indetti dal podesta', la maestra che lo metteva regolarmente dietro la lavagna. il vicino di casa al quale doveva dei soldi, che aveva dilapidato per andare a puttane.

Guerra civile: é un rivoltante eufemismo, se adoperato per descrivere la situazione creatasi in Italia dopo l'aprile del '45. E' civile – per modo di dire – una guerra nella quale si fronteggiano due parti, divise da interessi e da sentimenti atti a generare  violenza, le quali, tuttavia, insistono sullo stesso Stato: purché il confronto avvenga, almeno teoricamente, alla pari, tra soggetti che si equivalgono quanto a capacità di offendere o di difendersi dalle offese dell'altro. Ma la ragazzina di 13 anni trascinata in catene  dai partigiani per le strade di una cittadina del Nord verso il luogo in cui sarà fucilata, non rientra tra i requisiti di una guerra civile, e neppure tra quelli richiesti per definire 'barbari' certi riti nei dintorni di Tenochtitlan. 

Non era rimasto nessun fascista in armi  all'indomani di Dongo, e non si poteva più correre dietro agli aeroplani americani per rifornirsi  di sigarette, ma la pericolosa fatiscenza dello Stato italiano, che metteva insieme la doppiezza dei togliatti e la vigliaccheria dei badogli, aprì la strada alla sagra  sanguinosa delle vendette. Una chilometrica teoria di morti ammazzati, la cui unica colpa era stata, quella, di essere stati fascisti, posto che avrebbero potuto essere tutt'altro se Tutt'Altro avesse  governato al posto del PNF durante il ventennio.

 Le stragi, compiute dai partigiani al di fuori del perimetro bellico, e prive perciò di qualsiasi legittimazione, a parte quella morale, che si nega in automatico a tutte le guerre,  s'infilarono nel filtro dell'amnistia concepita dal compagno Togliatti più per sottrarre alla giustizia gli autori di tali crimini che per erigere uno scudo a protezione dei pochi superstiti del regime fascista, e ne uscirono, in parte assumendo il brand della 'Volante Rossa', in parte mettendosi al servizio dei titini che infoibavano gli italiani. Il sillogismo aristotelico, che esercita un'irresistibile attrazione sulle menti malate, funzionò più o meno così: se gli abitanti della Venezia Giulia e della Dalmazia fuggono dall'armata yugoslava comandata dal compagno Tito, ciò vuol dire che sono fascisti. Nessuna concessione al nazionalismo che si traveste da patriottismo. E' del 'Migliore, del resto,  l'assunzione della cittadinanza sovietica e il ripudio di quella italiana, annunciata nel corso del XVI Congresso del PCUS, del 1930, occasione in cui, dopo aver detto di  non  essere 'legato all'Italia come alla mia Patria', aggiungeva, forse sedotto dal suono della balalaika, di 'sentirsi, come italiano, un miserabile mandolinista e nulla più'.

 Qualche giorno fa, nuotando oziosamente sul web, mi é capitato di notare un tizio che sventolava una bandiera dell'ex Yugoslavia. Era del gruppo, contenuto a Firenze dai blindati della polizia, che voleva impedire alla rappresentanza giovanile dei Fratelli d'Italia di commemorare le vittime delle foibe. L'equazione italiano uguale fascista, che si é manifestata in tutta la sua virulenza nei confronti di Salvini, nell'epoca in cui questi  assolveva alla meno peggio il ruolo di ministro degli Interni, inadeguata per Berlusconi, era stata messa in precedenza da parte per far posto ad  un'altra equazione, molto più  duttile e, quindi, politicamente più efficace: quella stando alla quale l'anticomunismo -  ancorché povero in canna di fatti -  e il  fascismo sono la stessa cosa, quindi via libera    ai pupazzi che girano per le piazze con la testa in giù, allo squadrismo 'buono' delle sardine e a quello 'cattivo' dei centri sociali, alle minacce di morte rivolte a chiunque, con le azioni e con le intenzioni, ipotechi il primato della vecchia Sinistra che ha traslocato dal rosso vivo delle officine al rosa pallido dei salotti.

Il fatto che la Resistenza sopravviva nella carne tremula  dei reduci, due o tre in tutto, delle reliquie ambulanti, non ha dissuaso  l'ANPI dal continuare ad esistere e al Deep State contaminato dalle elite dal continuare a finanziarla coi soldi nostri: un pò come se io e te (tu che leggi) pretendessimo una sovvenzione perenne per aver organizzato un circolo, di persone che ricordano con piacere le riforme agrarie attuate dai Gracchi o che  hanno parteggiato a scuola per Mario, insofferenti di Silla.

Credo che sia stata largamente e colpevolmente sottovalutata la posizione dell'ANPI all'interno di questo sistema di potere che mobilita in quattro e quattr'otto le proprie truppe per spostarle ovunque abbia l'impressione di essere minacciato;  che attribuisce dei voti alle inclinazioni culturali, stabilendo quali debbano essere annoverate nell'Indice; che non brucia i libri (fanno fumo, producono CO2) ma fa in modo che finiscano, con la fatale puntualità della pallina del flipper, in un buco nero, dove non li troverà mai nessuno; che toglie dalla grande distribuzione i film scomodi, come 'Porzus', roba per contrabbandieri, forse su qualche bancarella, da occultare nella piega del giornale come un porno.  

Ricordo molto bene il giorno in cui nella carpetta di colore amaranto, con gli atti da firmare e la posta da visionare, che la segretaria adagiava sulla mia scrivania, all'inizio di ogni giornata, scoprii una lettera inviatami dall'ANPI. Mi si condannava  per aver osato  ospitare nella mia scuola Giorgio Albertazzi e per avergli chiesto di spiegare  ai ragazzi delle terze classi riuniti nell'aula magna cosa sono la recitazione e il Teatro.

Non risposi per evitare che l'Istituto s'incagliasse in un'assurda canizza. Nel caso,  la risposta sarebbe stata che, in punta di diritto e sotto il profilo morale, l'atto di comandare un plotone d'esecuzione nella vesti di un ufficiale della GNR   (sempre ammesso che l'episodio si fosse realmente verificato) per eliminare, in tempo di guerra, un irregolare, accusato di aver sparato contro reparti della RSI,  per quanto  urti la sensibilità di ogni persona normale, era enormemente meno grave  degli omicidi commessi dai partigiani su soggetti innocenti ed inermi, a guerra finita.

Mi é rimasto, come lascito di quell'esperienza – e non solo – il coriaceo convincimento che la STASI, al confronto, fosse un gruppo di boy scout. Loro vigilano, controllano, non gli sfugge nulla. Perciò, in campana!

Amid terror wave in Israel, New York BDS group calls to ‘globalize intifada’

Within Our Lifetime handed out a map to participants with 10 specific addresses of Jewish and Zionist NGOs and foundations across the city.

Amid the ongoing terror wave that has killed nearly a dozen Israelis in the past week, a pro-BDS group in New York City held a rally in front of the offices of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) on Wednesday urging to “globalize the intifada.”

During the event, the leader of the group Nerdeen Kiswani, who heads the group Within Our Lifetime (WOL), led the chant from New York to Palestine, globalize the intifada,” in what can be perceived as a call to conduct acts of terror against Israelis or Jews in other places around the world.

Attendees there chanted: “There is only one solution, intifada revolution” and “whose streets? Our streets!”

WOL also handed out a map to participants with 10 specific addresses of Jewish and Zionist NGOs and foundations across New York City.

Videos from the event were uploaded to WOL’s Instagram account, which was briefly suspended last month by Instagram for glorifying a female PFLP terrorist in a post celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8. Not long afterwards, the social media account was reinstated.

In addition to Palestinian flags, at least three attendees were flying the flag of the Israel-designated terror group Samidoun, which is affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)—a U.S.-designated foreign terror group.

Due to WOL’s extremist activities, pro-Israel groups have called upon Donorbox and Google Pay to block their platforms from providing fundraising services to this anti-Israel group.

However, no such actions have been taken as of yet.

Once again, the authoritarian heart of the Left is revealed.

One would think that a former president of the United States would be a staunch defender of the First Amendment. When it comes to Barack Obama, however, you’d think wrong.

Obama spoke Wednesday at an event sponsored by The Atlantic and the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics, “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy.” In the course of a long and rambling discussion with The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, Obama called for government control over the Internet in order to stem the “demand for crazy” that was spreading what he called “disinformation.”

As Leftists always do, Obama claimed that this “disinformation” was threatening “our democracy,” that is, the Left’s political and cultural hegemony.

Obama first insisted, with his characteristic near-incoherence: “I am close to a First Amendment absolutist. I believe in the idea of not just free speech, but also that you deal with bad speech with good speech, that you engage, um, that, that, that, that the exceptions to that are very narrow, um, and, and, and, y’know, particularly, uh, among this cohort of folks in college, and I’ve talked to my daughters about this, um, y’know, I don’t want us to be such a society of manners that, like, we can’t, we feel like our feelings are hurt and we can’t hear something that, uh, somebody says, and, and, and we wilt. Uh, I think, uh, I want us all as citizens to be in the habit of being able to hear stuff that we disagree with and be able to answer with our words.”

His First Amendment absolutism, however, only went so far.

Combating ‘disinformation’

After a good bit more rambling, Obama got around to asserting that in order to limit the spread of what he called “toxic information,” it would be “reasonable for us as a society to have a debate, and then to put in place a combination of regulatory measures and, uh, industry norms, uh, that leave intact the opportunity for these platforms to make money, but say to them that, there, there, there’s certain practices that we are not, that we don’t think are good for our society and we’re gonna discourage.”

There goes the First Amendment.

This is because, he explained, “I do think that there is a demand for crazy on the internet that we have to grapple with,” and that this involves “a systematic effort to either promote false information, to suppress true information, for the purpose of political gain, financial gain, enhancing power, suppressing others, targeting those you don’t like.”

Among these, “Roughly 40 percent of the country appears convinced that the current president was elected fraudulently and that the election was rigged,” and 30-35% reject the “medical miracle” of vaccines. It was important, Obama said, to reassert “the value of, y’know, expertise and, uh, science.”

Sure. But it’s remarkable that Obama would be calling for “regulatory measures” to combat “disinformation” right after the Hunter Biden laptop story, which the news organizations Obama would tout as the most reliable dismissed as disinformation for a year and a half, has now been definitively acknowledged to be true.

Does Obama’s sumptuous new beachfront mansion in Hawaii not have the Internet hooked up yet? Has he really not heard about this, or does he really think that we haven’t?

Obama should know

The Hunter Biden laptop is the clearest indication that regulatory measures designed to protect the public from “disinformation” can prevent the public from learning genuine and important information that is inconvenient to those who have the power to enable that information to be labeled “disinformation.”

If Obama is really as “close to a First Amendment absolutist” as he claims to be, he should acknowledge that there have been many other cases lately in which what was dismissed as “disinformation” turned out to be absolutely true, including the discounting and later verification of the claim that the COVID virus originated with a lab leak in Wuhan, China.

If the government had regulatory measures in place controlling “disinformation,” we might still not know about Hunter’s laptop, or the 10% he set aside for “The Big Guy” from his influence-peddling, or how the COVID virus originated, or about a host of other issues.

Nowadays the guardians of acceptable opinion are flagging as “disinformation” any assertions that men are men and women are women and that one cannot turn into the other. How is that going to look once a bit of sanity returns to society?

Obama, the self-proclaimed near-absolutist on free speech should know all this and should have explained it to Goldberg. Instead, he once again revealed the authoritarian heart of the establishment Left.

Ancora una volta, il cuore autoritario della sinistra si rivela.

Si potrebbe pensare che un ex presidente degli Stati Uniti sarebbe uno strenuo difensore del Primo Emendamento. Quando si tratta di Barack Obama, tuttavia, penseresti male.

Obama ha parlato mercoledì a un evento sponsorizzato da The Atlantic e dall'Institute of Politics dell'Università di Chicago, "Disinformazione ed erosione della democrazia". Credo nell'idea non solo della libertà di parola, ma anche che si tratti di cattive parole con un buon discorso, che ci si impegni, ehm, quello, quello, quello, che le eccezioni a questo sono molto strette, um, e, e, sai, in particolare, uh, tra questa coorte di persone al college, e ho parlato con le mie figlie di questo, Uhm, sai, non voglio che siamo una tale società di buone maniere che, come, non possiamo, sentiamo che i nostri sentimenti sono feriti e non possiamo sentire qualcosa che, uh, qualcuno dice, e, e, e noi appassiamo. Uh, penso, uh, voglio che tutti noi come cittadini abbiamo l'abitudine di essere in grado di ascoltare cose con cui non siamo d'accordo ed essere in grado di rispondere con le nostre parole. "

His First Amendment absolutism, however, only went so far.
